Following the fantastic show that was the “Collective: 5 Bloggers, 5 Looks” show, last year’s participant Lolitta Dandoy joined this year’s Festival select stage to present looks from her latest endeavor, MyWalk.In!
Lolitta Dandoy, a prominent fixture on the Montreal fashion scene for many years now has worked for notable publications such as “Voir” and “Clin d’Oeil” magazine.
This year however, she launched her own fashion blog www.fashioniseverywhere.com and an online boutique, MyWalk.In, a dream come true for the fashionista.
Lolitta’s love for fashion, exceptional taste and sense of style are recognized within Montreal fashion community, so it only seemed appropriate for her to pursue these new ventures.
So what makes MyWalk.In different from all of the other online shops? For one, MyWalk.In features clothes and accessories handpicked by Lolitta herself.
My favourite thing about her shop is the diverse selection of pieces that could satisfy any fashionista’s desires and tastes – labels featured include Valentino, Pierre Cardin for Paul & Joe, Brian Atwood, as well as lots of covetable, authentic vintage pieces.
Notable themes from the show included bohemian 1970s inspiration for the summer collection and feminine, Parisian style for the upcoming fall season. Summer looks included bell-bottoms, crochet, floppy hats, maxi skirts that instantly transported the crowd back to the days of Volkswagen vans and tie-dye shirts.
Hounds-tooth and sequin capes were prominent in the winter collection, completed with cloche-style hats, gloves and pearl necklaces.
Wild, teased air complimented the boho style of the summer collection while the same hairstyle created a bit of a dichotomy with the elegant styles of the fall collection. Congrats Lolitta and team!
The MyWalk.In show was fantastic and received much applause during the final walkout. Although the end of summer is sadly approaching, I’m happy to have even more inspiration for the upcoming fall season.
