As we get ready for yet another Fashion Week, the miss SLY!™ team is joined by two interns Fashion hustlers, ready to take on Ottawa’s buzzing and growing Fashion scene – no sarcasm!
We are excited to welcome two ladies to our fashion madness, and by the sound of it, they are just as eager to get started as we are. Let’s start with lady Erin.
“Hello miss SLY!™ readers!! My name is Erin Thibodeau: student traveller, style stalker, virgin blogger, Twitter addict and this year, your faithful fashion intern for the Spring/Summer 2012 edition of Ottawa Fashion Week.”
My mission? As one of your interns this OFW S/S12 season, I’ll bring you coverage of all OFW events, summaries from the runway, the highlights, and the trends that blew us away.
Will the showcasing designers follow the beautiful trend of light infused fall colours being brought over to spring (specifically those beautiful mustard and blue hues!) that we’re seeing in other fashion weeks such as the Roksanda Ilincic and Burberry Prorsum shows in London?
As this is my first fashion week, I am already thrilled to find out what is in store for us from the designers. I’m excited for !Nu.I’s ‘savage’ promise, and to find out about the hype which has trailed Travis Taddeo from Montreal.
Having just returned home from eight months abroad, I’ll be standing by to see how DeMOYO’s globally diverse background will influence her work and of course, my eyes are peeled for Canadian icon Jeanne Beker’s EDIT collection and silent auction which will close Ottawa Fashion Week.
