VIDEO: JEAN PAUL GAULTIER BOURGEOISES SANS AGE

Without a doubt the highlight on DAY 1 of the FMDM11, Jean Paul Gaultier – Bourgeoises Sans Age Fashion Show attracted more people than McGill street could contain.

The Fashion and Design Festival in collaboration with the Museum of Fine Arts of Montreal, presented a show of the highest production, showcasing Gaultier’s Fall / Winter 2011-2012  ready to wear, and pieces from his exhibition.

We took a series of videos during the show, to share the magic with you. Because words and images wouldn’t be enough to translate just how exhilarating it was to be there.

From the opening act kicking off on a James Bond theme, to the closing with a sailor strutting on Madonna’s Like  A Virgin, highlighted with notes of late Amy Winehouse music, Montreal fashion fiends and festival goers were, for a brief but real instant, transported to Paris, on the stage of one the most sumptuous Fashion show.

True to Gaultier inclusive nature, models of all ages, shape and background strutted down the long catwalk, showcasing Gaultier’s daring and provocative creations.

Attending Fashion shows back to back can be quite taxing, especially in an outdoor environment, like the Montreal Fashion Festival, but when you close a busy and hectic day with a JPG Show, all signs of impatience and irritation disappear.

A moment made possible thanks to JPG, The Fashion and Design Festival and the Museum of Fine Arts of Montreal.  A moment to remember.

Share and Enjoy
