PARIS HAUTE COUTURE : GIAMBATTISTA VALLI DEBUT

Patience, hard work and undeniable savoir-faire have finally paid off, as Giambattista Valli debuted his Haute Couture Collection in Paris yesterday.

A long-nursed couture dream Valli made reality, resulting in an elegant and beautiful collection, filled with fun, color and goddess-worthy gowns.

The show opened on a sequence of white pieces, including poplin shirtdresses, blouses and coats, complemented with gold accents, mousseline and ostrich feathers adornments.

Floor length gowns cinched at waist with golden-leaves-belts, were effortlessly chic with just the right amount of glam, making a statement without overdoing it.

Pink coral pieces joined the collection of white, black, monochrome florals and animal-printed mousselines. And we fell for one of the cocktail dress with ostrich feathers, a very modern and chic look.

Just when we thought we had seen it all, floaty animal-printed and red mousseline gowns, swept the runway and us along with them. Dramatic and simply divine!

Side note: There must be something about red that couture-inclined designers from Rome just can’t resist, and we are not complaining – salute to Valentino.

We really love what Valli did here. Celebrating women, beauty and elegance all in one strong, cohesive and glamour couture collection. If this is the debut of Valli, we definitely want see more.

Valli va va voom!
