PRC-2: Ep.1 “Fashion Is a Battlefield”
- Camille: Interesting construction but rather inconsistent, failed to incorporate the Challenge theme plus the model looked dirty - Christie: A clear take on “Jem and the Holograms“, very colourful and pop with no sign of war or true camouflage - Sunny: Very sophisticated and remarkable tailored Jacket with skirt + (A potential challenge winner IMO) - Margarita: A leopard print dress, more average than groundbreaking, not so bad but why the matching head band?
- Adejoke: Fashion, Fashion, Fashion, very chic fitted dress with a high collar and ruffles in front, loved every part of the dress, war meets fabulous + (A potential challenge winner IMO) - Brandon: Bare back dress with huge bow details, showed little to no camouflage, I know he can do much better, looking forward to the next piece - Jason: Mini dress covered with sort of a cape or curtain, very Safari rather than war, hard to grasp concept but not boring, just a bit risqué - Kim: Too much of everything going on, couldn’t dissect her design to analyze it, needs to edit edit edit! - Jeff: Very wearable but not striking enough, a clean and classic look that could use some oomph to get to the next level - Genevieve: Interesting construction on the dress but not figure flattering, too bulky for the model, would have worked best if refined - Jessica: Long gown, classic with an edge but not memorable, at least the war theme was used here
=====================================================
The judges agreed that Adejoke and Sunny presented the strongest looks of the bunch on today’s challenge, but only one could win and Adejoke’s Design was picked as the winner (which I completely agree with, even if they were both winners in my opinion). Her design will feature at the “Canadian War Museum Camouflage Exhibition” this the summer and I will be there to take pictures of the fabulous dress. She also has immunity next week, which means that she can’t be eliminated, Sweet!
